Jonas, I have just noticed something odd. You say that you upgraded to Karmic (9.10), but your log files say that you are using the Jaunty (9.04) kernel.
Double-check your /boot/grub/menu.lst file. If you are using Karmic (9.10), your kernel version should be 2.6.31. If you don't see that entry in your menu.lst file, make a backup of it, and then run 'sudo update-grub' to rebuild that file.
