Just thought that the Xorg.failsafe.logs might be more pertinent to this
issue that Xorg.0.logs.

find attached Xorg.failsafe.log and Xorg.failsale.log.old. These date
from when I was having problems seeing the "low resolution" warning.
'Xorg.failsafe.old' is a boot with a '2.6.28' where the resolution was
correct idetified and the warning was readable. 'Xorg.failsafe' is a
boot with a '2.6.31' where the screen was unreadable.

Hope they help,

Paul
