After having upgrading my OS from hardy Heron to Intrepid, it turned
out that I did it the wrong way because the cursor of the mouse on the
screen does not respond when I rub my hand on the stimulator on the
keyboard.

upgraded to ubuntu 8.10 but mouse does not work anymore. When I touch the mouse
stimulator on the keyboard there is no reaction on the screen
