Thank you for testing. This means that it is probably already fixed in Lucid, which has a kernel based on 2.6.32-rc7. It would be nice if you could test a alpha-1 LiveCD which should be out on Dec. 10 just to verify that. Or you could test a daily-build right now, but that is more likely to have other problems.
As for updating Karmic, I doubt that is will be possible. We would have to find the exact patch that fixes the issue, patch the current Karmic kernel, test the Karmic kernel and request a SRU (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates). Since this is probably affecting only a few types of monitors, I don't think it will be worth it. -- [G45] Xorg does not use full resolution of monitor (Intel) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/480891 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
