In reply to #3, with karmic the issue stil remains unchanged / unsolved -- since the virtual screen is rectangular, but the physical is not. Does anyone know a workaround (like blocking mouse pointer from entering specific coordinates)? I don't know how mouse cursors are handled in ubuntu, so I don't even know where to start looking. I'd be willing to write my own code, too.
