Hi, I can confirm this bug. As was being discussed in bug #297245, changing the options to NOMODESET does show the boot screen, but the screen turns black after the splash screen. After sometime the WSoD appears.
I changed the driver from "intel" to "vesa" and i was able to atleast login.
