The "MUTTER_DEBUG_DISABLE_TRIPLE_BUFFERING" option only exists in Ubuntu 22.04. It has changed names a couple of times since then, but I doubt that was actually fixing your issue. More likely it is MUTTER_DEBUG_USE_KMS_MODIFIERS=0 helping. But since it sounds like you're on 22.04 then there could be a number of other problems with the Nouveau driver, so please log a new bug from the affected machine instead of commenting on this one.
