Hi, The latest version of glibc in the Plucky release pocket was released on December 16th, it's not that new. Furthermore, looking at the stack trace, you can see that the code reenters glibc on __assert_fail, which indicates that the crash is due to an assertion failure in the calling code, from Xorg. I'm assigning that package to the bug. The stack frames before the assert fail are related to DRI, so it might be an issue in mesa or the kernel. Could you provide us with the full system logs in the few seconds leading up to the the crash? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2098588 Title: After recent libc update my login screen goes "something bad happened" screen is shown To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/2098588/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
