Verified that I could reproduce the bug following the test plan in Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS. Installed xwayland=2:22.1.1-1ubuntu0.15. Verified that I could not reproduce the bug anymore following the test plan: no high CPU usage, and x11 apps still work as expected.
