I have a promising update. I tested the Ubuntu Desktop 24.04.01 Live CD on the laptop and the system suspends appropriately from that environment.
Could someone guide me on how to generate a 'diff' between the two Ubuntu 24.04 environments (upgraded from 23.10 vs 24.04.01 Live CD).
