This was visible in the terminal when I ran nvidia-settings:

ERROR: Unable to load info from any available system


(nvidia-settings:7822): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: 11:42:14.321: g_object_unref: 
assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
** Message: 11:42:14.326: PRIME: No offloading required. Abort
** Message: 11:42:14.326: PRIME: is it supported? no

However, I am using the nvidia driver:
