Oh I see you started with Ubuntu Server. Please:
1. Don't disable Wayland. Wayland should be enabled. 2. Answer the previous question: After you have switched back to a 'stock' config and kernel, what does vulkaninfo report? 3. Try booting desktop Ubuntu from USB: https://ubuntu.com/download/desktop If that just works then we're probably wasting time here figuring out how to un-customise this server install.
