I run BOINC and have been running the Collatz project application for
Intel GPUs for a few years. These have been working well.
On updating to Impish (for Hirsute) all 3 systems running this (3 Intel
NUcs with i5-5250U, i3-8109U and i3-10110U CPUs) started to fail *every*
Collatz job.
The error messages reported by the app are things like:
The verification of the steps for 10573729564897346322432 failed. The OpenCL
device calculated 46747248 vs 487 steps by the CPU. Processing aborted.
Error: GPU steps do not match CPU steps. Workunit processing aborted.
The verification of the steps for 10585314751641536200690 failed. The OpenCL
device calculated 1577457360 vs 611 steps by the CPU. Processing aborted.
Error: GPU steps do not match CPU steps. Workunit processing aborted.
