I have just installed the package libx11 2:1.6.4-3ubuntu0.5. I have made several tests with PCManFM, a program that used to freeze quite easily.
IT WORKS, no more annoying freezing. I have to test with inkscape, another program that used to freeze easily, but I can't do it now. I'll make the tests in a few hours.
