After connecting via “real” DP-cable the situation is slightly
different.

The external monitor now is showing a picture when booting which was not
the case while connected via HDMI.

`xrandr` now shows connection via DP-2. When going to standby after
waking up monitor settings are changed to “single display”. When I
change it back to “join” the external monitor will wake up and show a
picture. So that’s an improvement at least although still funny. I
wonder how it would go with DP connected via usb.

I also conducted a firmware update but to no avail.
