After upgrade to 20.04.1, problem vanished. (also with k5.4.0-45) So maybe bug was triggered by a backport snafu? Unknown, but after upgrading three systems to 20.04, no more resume crashes. Doesn't help much to find the fault, but maybe a good, 'permanent' workaround.
