I've got some new findings here. I tried to use the HDMI cable instead of Display Port. With HDMI I was able to login and see the desktop. I was able to reboot several times and it worked well. Then I switched the scaling to 200% (I'm an old man ;-)) and everything looked good. However after the next reboot the screen is black again. I reproduced this behaviour with the second HDMI port. So it seems that this is a scaling problem. I will do some further testing there.
