So touchpad suddenly stopped working on this laptop i tried booting with
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="i8042.reset quiet splash"
and installing
sudo apt install xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
i think i also tried installing some touchpad software but that didnt
help as well.
tried booting the 4.15.0-70-generic kernel (only one available) - worked
fawlessly..
