Still broken despite upgrading kernel to 4.15.0-46.49 grub to 2.02-2ubuntu8.12 mesa to 18.2.8-0ubuntu0~18.04.2
The recent mesa changelog gave hope:- "i965-revert-enabling-softpin.diff: Don't enable softpin, causes issues on 32bit installs. (LP: #1815172)" but no improvement noted and GPU still hanging at the login screen.
