I confirm this bug on daily live amd64 20091215 (yesterday). My computer froze upon booting live as well as selecting the option to install at the boot menu. I also selected both options in safe graphics mode. Same issue occurred (blank screen with a few flickers). Just for good measure, I tried to install in virtual box. I ran into same issue only the screen would flash in a loop. I tried to screen print one particular screen, but I was unable to move windows out of the way to capture what message was being displayed. I'll attach it just in case.
