Public bug reported:
I'm trying to downscale GNOME interface, and in order to do this, on X,
I'm using `xrandr --scale 1.25x1.25`, which produces a larger view,
which I'd like to fit to my screen size.
So i'm trying to use the --panning option as follows:
`xrandr --output eDP-1-1 --scale 1.25x1.25 --panning 1360x768`
What happens is that the scale is applied but the panning is not, and throws
the following error:
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 140 (RANDR)
Minor opcode of failed request: 29 (RRSetPanning)
Serial number of failed request: 32
Current serial number in output stream: 32
My xrandr output (`xrandr --prop`):
Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1366 x 768, maximum 16384 x 16384
eDP-1-1 connected primary 1366x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y
axis) 345mm x 194mm
