Thanks for the prompt response. I removed 'nomodset' and ran 'sudo update-initramfs -u' but still the secondary monitor is not detected. In Display setting it shows 'Unknown Display'. I've tried selecting the 'nvidia-driver-390' from software & updates > additional drivers but still no luck.
