I'm seeing an issue which I believe is also due to this bug. If I try to run the "Eschalon Book I" game by Basilisk Games (it's a free download from their website, but also available through Steam and GOG.com), I get a segmentation fault during game startup in /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/dri/i965_dri.so.
This is on Ubuntu 17.10, 64-bit OS build, Lenovo Thinkpad T470p, Intel i965.
