Although the referenced bug regards Nvidia, some comments mention similar problems with Radeon (and I'm not using Nvidia drivers either - I have integrated Intel graphics). My main point was that the syslog lists other errors before the segfault, so this can be a result rather than the cause. I could not find a syslog in your report.
