Hi, I have done some further investigation and these are my results: - Clean install of Ubuntu 16.10: No luck - Clean install of Ubuntu Gnome: - GNOME and GNOME Classic (I believe) sessions - same result, although it managed to reach login screen. But once I type in the password and hit enter, both screens flicker and I am bumped back to login screen as if I never logged in. No error messages, nothing. - GNOME sessions with only one external monitor connected to the dock station. In either case all was good and I was able to log in etc. - GNOME on Wayland: DID ACTUALLY WORK! So, I moved my system to that GNOME session for the time being. Good for a change too :)
