Thanks again for your interest. I can report that I tested upstream kernel 4.7-6 as requested. And it did not resolve my issues. Due to the fact that I am now using Mx-15 (Fusion), and I must install Ubuntu to perform further testing, I will not be able to spare any more time in these efforts. I hope the work done so far is sufficient to point others in the right direction.
