I checked your link, and that is to 16.10 daily . . . for which, there is no PPC friendly option. I'm in 16.04 PPC, after the dist-upgrade the problem continues with blotchy graphics on desktop images for both MATE & Xu DE's. I'll check the 16.04 daily, if I can zsync it fairly fast I'll try it; if not, when I get back to my newer machine I can get the screen photos I took with my iPod uploaded here.
