Adrian, given the version of xserver-xrg-video-ati in the Xorg Edgers
PPA was already old when you tested it back on Nov. 3, 2015, to see if
this is already resolved in Ubuntu could you please test
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ and advise to the results?
