Same problem here. Lenovo Carbon X1 3rd Gen. After upgrading to 15.10 from 15.04, the laptop doesn't complete the boot process and crashes with the i915 message (The master control interrupt lied SDE). I cannot even provide any dmesg output because I can't get any prompt. The error comes right after "Started GNOME display manager" message.
