I tried the Live version of Ubuntu 16.04 and installed the DisplayLink driver. But I couldn't even select the third monitor which is plugged in through DisplayLink. So I can't tell if the problem exists there too as the driver for the video output via DisplayLink seems not to work. At least I can't see the third monitor.
