Another problem is that while holding down say the right arrow key to select a few characters of text, suddenly the arrow key starts generating a digit so in an editor, it erases what was already selected and produces a stream of 6's or so. So there I selected more than a sentence before wiped it out with a bunch of 4's switched back to lefts and scrolled back to the start of the comment.
