The current status of this bug is as follows: - The current xorg stack with intel drivers from ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa is not compatible with the kernel part backported to 3.13 and 3.16 - This feature seems to work seamlessly on my test hardware with Vivid - It seems that the best solution will be to use Vivid backported kernel with Trusty as soon it becomes available (with 14.04.3?)
