This may well be an issue with xserver-xorg-core 1.16, or recent xserver-xorg-video-intel.
I am getting the "_xgeWireToEvent: Unknown extension 148, this should never happen." log messages as well, but only when the Epiphany web browser is rendering HTML content with alpha channel < 1.0. When this is happening, rendering performance degrades by orders of magnitude. If the transparent content is hidden or the page is closed, the messages stop and performance is restored. This behaviour started occurring after upgrading to xserver-xorg-core 1.16. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1369113 Title: Steam game began crashing 2014-09-12 (cross-post Source bugtracker) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/steam/+bug/1369113/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
