Had same problem on Lifebook A512 - Ubuntu 13.10 64bit and 14.04 Live version. The touchpad's scroll and mid-click (Left+Right button) were not working.
I tried the commands suggested on #14 and this similar workaround http://nwoki.wordpress.com/2012/10/02/multitouch-fix-for-alps-touchpad Sorry, can't tell which one of the two methods worked, I'm totally "noob" with regard to kernel modules (made a lot of confiuson and receivde e few error messages)... anyway after a reboot I can tell that the touchpad is now working! This means that there must be something good into the psmouse-alps-1.3 driver (http://www.dahetral.com/public-download/alps-psmouse-dlkm- for-3-2-and-3-5/view) that could fix the problem. If there is any way to help to get more informations (run commands, post file settings...) just let me know. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1041916 Title: Touchpad of Fujitsu LifeBook AH532 not recognized To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/1041916/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
