I upgraded to the xorg-edgers PPA version of Xorg ( xorg-server 2:1.6.3+git20090805+server-1.6-branch.f274e595-0ubuntu0sarvatt3~jaunty ), and my mouse is no longer getting stuck in the rightmost screen. :) :) :)
