I found one other soul that has this issue on B590 and it looks like it is not just a Ubuntu issue. After finding these articles I ran Windows 8 for a couple of days and got one such crash.
http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-3000-and-Essential/B590-Screen- garbled/td-p/1140123 Some other Lenovo products with the same issue in various degrees. http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/diagnose-and- fix/detail.page?DocID=HT001223 Maybe the comments in those forums could help aleviating the problem in Ubuntu at least. In the mean time I suppose I will just have to pray that the intel- linux-graphics-installer is updated to work with 13.10 soon. In another desperate step I installed the latest Xubuntu and at least the crashes are limited to one or two per day now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1241409 Title: Shows corrupt screen - Freezed Latop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1241409/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
