But this bug report is not about an arbitrary set of bugs that produce
the same symptoms; it's about corruption seen on *my* laptop, corruption
that did not clear up when I tested the kernel fix - which is why I un-
duped this bug from bug #1157678.

It *is* fixed with the current version of xserver-xorg-video-intel in
raring.  So as far as I'm concerned, the issue is resolved, and keeping
a task on the linux package open on this bug is of no help to anyone.
