My former note that the system is stable now is not correct. Meanwhile I was able to file a new report by executing the following in a terminal: ubuntu-bug xorg It was filed under https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1161102 So please ati radeon xpress 200m users subscribe to that bug if you have it. My current workaround is using Unity-2d. It is stable for days now but a bit slow on the graphics unfortunately.
