The fix for 1007575/SB Arena USB headset doesn't work for this bug which is related to a Plantronics headset.
I believe the vendor codes are different, but the actual fix may be the same. I tested this on Kernel 3.7 and the bug was still present. I'm running Kernel 3.8 right now, but not in a position to verify this until later in the week.
