Another test: I got an HDMI switch box (Ligawo HDMI Matrix 4->2 - 3D, with audio extractor) now, to connect more than one video/audio source to one HDMI input of a screen. It seems that the device fakes a better HDMI monitor input than the passive HDMI->DVI switch as during a new Raring installation (on another SD card) I get an absolutely correct 1920x1080 image on my monitor and after boot I get also a working desktop with 1920x1080.
