For example, if I press a key (letter, backspace or other) and then layout switch combination without half second pause between, then layout wont be changed. To switch between layouts I use "caps/shift+caps" combination. It's not a "modifier only" combination, but still affected by 208_switch_on_release.diff patch. In Windows even alt+shift combination work perfectly.
