Definitely not a duplicate. The problem with graphics on the Acer Aspire S5 is complete corruption. The entire display is blurry static/garbage (unusable) until you sleep then wake it back up.
Having said that, I tried the latest 3.7 kernel (the .deb packages) and the problem is fixed. I can't use that kernel permanently though since the wifi won't work with it. So I'm anxiously awaiting a 3.7 kernel to show up in the backports repo. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1082234 Title: i915 display corruption on Acer Aspire S5 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1082234/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
