Look around the internet, I may have found what appears to be upstream reports:
Debian: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=681796 Xorg: http://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/11531/ Debian is showing this SIGSEV: XIChangeDeviceProperty (dev=dev@entry=0x7f4bac237fa0, property=<optimized out>, type=type@entry=19, format=format@entry=8, mode=<optimized out>, mode@entry=0, len=len@entry=1, value=value@entry=0x7fff092e860f, sendevent=sendevent@entry=1) at ../../Xi/xiproperty.c:772 And Xorg claims: is reporting a memory leak: Error: Memory leak (CWE 401) Memory leak of pointer 'prop' allocated with XICreateDeviceProperty(property) at line 774 of Xi/xiproperty.c in function 'XIChangeDeviceProperty'. I'll forward this info to Debian and see what they say. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #681796 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=681796 ** Also affects: xorg-server (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=681796 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #52496 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52496 ** Also affects: xorg-server via https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52496 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/956071 Title: Xorg crashed with SIGSEGV in XIGetDeviceProperty() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xorg-server/+bug/956071/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
