This was correctly reported against the linux kernel since the Ubuntu kernel team is responsible for the Quantal enablement kernels that are provided for testing in the ubuntu-x-swat PPA. After further examination, this bug is actually Fix Released for Quantal as of v3.4.0-4.9:
