Everyone with an ivybridge (and using the integrated gpu, others don't bother) look at bug 999910, fix is pending in the -27.4x series.
Sandybridge users (again, ati/nvidia users don't bother) can enable precise-proposed and upgrade the kernel to -26.40, there are plenty of fixes.
