Well, kind of found a workaround myself after a lot of research, in the end, the only clue(not really a true help) I ever received was the mention of the error line message by David above.
Navigating throught nvidia video memory issues on linux at boot I saw something like the below here(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/537218): "add at the grub entry settings nopat or vesafb.invalid=1", and it worked; tested just the nopat, removed the quiet splash(but maybe also leaving quiet splash would work anyway). I'm a bit gratefull only to David, since he was the only one which tried to help. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1004546 Title: Ubuntu fglrx cannot recognize video memory at boot, blank screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/1004546/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
