I've just tried Ubuntu 12.10 alpha, with 3.4 kernel, and used vesa video dirver for my nvidia card. So no 3D, nothing special. I've used it 5 minutes, then complete freeze again ! :-(
I only tried to install synaptic using Software Center and was waiting for it to install.
