Hello,

I have just installed Ubuntu 12.04 in Lenovo T420s laptop with discrete
a NVIDIA card. The installation went without problems and the system
recognized an external monitor (Dell G2410) connected via Lenovo docking
station showing two independent desktops. Unfortunately, there is a
problem after a reboot when the computer is sin the docking station. I
get a login screen but after entering a correct password I get black
screens on both monitors and the system hangs. If I remove the computer
from the docking station and reboot, then there are no problems. I tried
switching to internal INTEL card but then the computer does not
recognize the external monitor. I also tried enabling a NVIDIA driver
but the system again does not see the external screen.

Fortunately, the system wakes up from "suspend" both in the docking
station and standalone almost without problems. There is a still problem
with login: I configured the system to ask for a password, after
suspend, but when waking up in the docking station the system goes
directly into desktop without a password screen. I vaguely remember a
similar problem with 10.04 which got fixed on an upgrade.

Best regards,
R
