@Bjorn Helgass -- thanks for the pointer. That does indeed sounds possible. Could those of you afffected please test the latest Karmic kernel 2.6.31-6.25 as that is based on v2.6.31-rc6 upstream which contains the fix indicated above. Please report back here. Thanks.
