#165: This bug is not fixed, it should be re-opened again. I am using the current proposed Kernel, and I still have hard freezes on Ivy Bridge graphics: 3.2.0-25-generic #40-Ubuntu SMP Wed May 23 20:30:51 UTC 2012 x86_64
Please note that in my case (and others) there is no kernel error logging in dmesg or anywhere, because the system is plain dead.
